Cohesion Guidance for Funders Consultation

Communities and Local Government’s consultation on draft Cohesion Guidance for Funders is recommending that:

  • local funders – who are experts on the communities they serve – use a measured approach to single group funding requests;
  • local funders recognise the value of this type of funding for capacity building purposes;
  • funders acknowledge the need to promote cohesion by encouraging ‘bridging activity’ and ensure that funding decisions are adequately communicated to local people.
