The London Region ICT Champion’s mission is to support voluntary sector organisations to understand and use technology to better achieve their goal of delivering high quality services for all.

Access to information and communication technology (ICT) plays an important role in enabling voluntary and community sector organisations to build healthy, vibrant and strong communities and engage with funders and supporters.

Campaigning and Advocating for London’s voluntary and community sector
We’ve been working with stakeholders, policy makers and funders to give voice to voluntary sector ICT and make sure there’s a co-ordinated ICT strategy for mapping the gaps and proposing sustainable solutions to help  voluntary and community sector organisations to make better use of ICT.

London’s Circuit Rider community

Lasa has been leading on the development of Circuit Riders – mobile ICT support workers – across the UK. In London, our Regional Champion hosts quarterly events for London’s riders to share learning and network with others in the field. To get involved in our circuit rider network events, find out more at www.ukriders.info

Local Infrastructure Organisations and Networks
Lasa’s London Regional ICT Champion can also help your network or organisations to make better use of ICT in many practical ways:

  • sign-posting to high quality and impartial sources of ICT advice designed specically for the voluntary sector such as the ICT Knowledgebase and SuppliersDirectory;
  • research and evaluate how community organisations access and use ICT;
  • sharing ICT good practice and news through the ICT Champion blog and Lasa’s Computanews magazine;
  • working with LVSC and other partners to deliver one day workshops on managing ICT, how to cost and fund ICT projects, how to use web based tools and making your ICT accessible
  • delivering shorter ICT workshops and presentations to help organisations make better use of
    ICT and understand how they can apply new technologies to their work.

What other’s said about us
“Lasa’s ICT Champion is a great resource for the sector – it’s helped keep ICT issues on funders’ agenda and provided us with high quality and impartial advice whenever we’ve needed it. The ICT Champion’s events and training have always been really useful for helping us to keep up to date and network with others in the field.”
